California nebula and Heart Nebula

hi,

here's a couple from Saturday and Sunday nights. Although my processing still leaves a lot to be desired, I was pleased to be able to spend some time capturing the California nebula as previously, I've only got it as a noisy smudge! The Heart nebula is new for me and turned out quite well. I hope to capture its neighbouring soul nebula when it's clear again.

hopefully a much better process of the California nebula (auto curves did the trick this time!). I'm struggling to improve on the heart neb, the sheer number of stars makes it seem quite noisy.

perhaps this heart is a bit better, I used a smoothing filter in Photoshop.

thanks Brendan. At -4 outside I think the camera was probably already cool enough (I certainly was), but every little helps!
