I have a nexstar 5 original on a wedge mount and want to try some imaging it seems that the original nexstar is not as good at imaging as the se as the go to is not as accurate. would exactly polar aligning the mount improve its accuracy?. all my observing is done away from home so I would need a portable system of finding celestial north (perhaps an astro compass) any advice gratefully received.
