Mars - Nothing special!

Normally I wouldn't post this but I haven't been able to image much so far this year, so what the hell! Just to prove I'm still here...

Here is my first attempt this year at Mars... not the best night for it but you can see the polar cap at least.

Telescope: Mewlon 250M @ 4500mm with Extender Q

Camera: Philips web-cam SPC900N

Processed with Registax 5

Seeing was poor at this magnification, so I IR-Pass filter may have helped but unfortunately I don't own one!

Its very much over processed I know, lets hope the weather keeps improving from now on.

I wish I could do as well! I got a vaguely fuzzy orange blob. At least you can see the polar cap!
