used the scope during the day today...

i was counting the hours till sunset, looking at stallerium and noticed the moon should be visible. it was two in the afternoon and there it was. it had te most amazing look to it, only an eighth showing but the sun hit it just right as my view fom one side gently faded out and i could make out the edge allmost all the way around. didn`t use too much mag, it was nice just to get lost in thought with my eye just drifting across he surface... cool, i didnt know you could get such good views during the day, i thought the liht would be too stong. glad to find i was wrong. does anyone know of any other celestial bodies i could see during the day too? ( i have baader film on order for the sun )

Venus is do-able, but extreme care must be taken. And I do mean extreme care. If it's pretty near the sun, don't even think about it.
