I've just got a couple of Meade 4000 super Plossls from the for sale section and they are so much better than the std SW plossl's that came with my Explorer 150p.

One thing I'm curious about, what are the differences between the 4000's with white writing and 4000's with orangey yellow writing ?

The original Meade 4000's had orange lettering. The earlier and best ones were also made in Japan.
