CMOS Surveillance Camera for astrography

Hi all,

I purchased a couple of these cameras of eBay some time ago

for another project but never used them. Given that they are quite sensitive (0.2lux) would they be any good for connecting to a scope, the picture quality is good when hooked up to a TV?

0.2lux isn't very sensitive compared to astro mintron or watec. To capture image on your computer you need a USB frame grabber. The camera may work on the moon but it's not a super thing

Yup I looked at those two cameras you mentioned and they make a mockery of what I've got (0.002 lux, man that's sensitive). I'll try it on the moon and other objects and see what happens.
