Telrad Positioning

I would go for the side by side approach. That way you can do rough alignment with the Telrad, then more accurate placement with the optical finder with only a slight re-positioning of your eye.

Thats probably not the only way to do it though - just my preference.

That's how mine are positioned and exactly how I use them and it works a treat. :)
