Telrad Positioning

What's the general concensus on positioning of telrads, do you put yours on the opposite side of the focusser to the sighting scope, or do you put it 'beside the sighting scope so they are both side by side?

I would go for the side by side approach. That way you can do rough alignment with the Telrad, then more accurate placement with the optical finder with only a slight re-positioning of your eye.

Thats probably not the only way to do it though - just my preference.

That's how mine are positioned and exactly how I use them and it works a treat.
