Okay, so the Obs rig is now not moving...new CCD (4021 or 383+) will replace the 314L for Obs work, but the plan for star parties etc will be a WO66/ST80 parallel mounted, QHY5 (just to keep the cable count down for guided work), CG5-GT/314L/ASUS900/DMK21AU04 (solar!)

The CG5 during daytime will hold the PST80/SV50

Have you considered the new dmx642? Its enhanced quantum efficiency is getting great reviews stateside. Ideal for some get up and gone observing.

I have the 314L, Qe on that with the microlenses is excellent and it fits in with my filter wheels etc.. but thanks for the info

Still debating on another Skynyx or the DMK route though...have owned both and think the DMK is pretty close in terms of quality..

Sounds good to me. Last Kielder I just stuck the 20D and 180mm lens on my Vixen GP and got some nice shots. I'm going to get the DD1 modified for autoguiding and add a short dual bar and Meg 72 for guiding, and take it on my hollybobs to Brittanny.
