A bit of Mars reworking

Can't resist the urge to fiddle so I took my Mars images from the 4th and 5th and resized and (hopefully) turned them the right way round.

Put them all into Powerpoint and then exported as a JPEG. Right now with the snow and extreme cold I'm not tempted to go outside for the time being. Not safe underfoot anyway.

what set up was used ?

Europa 250mm F4.8 Newtonian.

Either a 3 x Barlow or 4 x Imagemate Amplifier depending on the seeing conditions at the time. ATIK webcam, ATIK IR filter. Webcam settings were 1/50, 5 fps with Gain almost at zero. Each capture was around 1000 frames processed in Registax 4 (although I may have used V5 for some), then post processing and re-sizing in Adobe Photoshop before putting them into Powerpoint.

I should also mention two very cold but better than average nights of seeing.
