New SLT mounts for £179

David Hinds have just updated there website with the new 60SLT scopes. They are selling them for £199 which is a good price for the SLT mount. You can then throw away the OTA (or use it as a bat) and attach a ED80 or similar. I'm sorely tempted to go that route but i think i'll pay the extra money and get the 102SLT as that gives me a useable scope which i can then upgrade to a 80mm APO when i have sold my other bits of equipment. I might even try the ED100 on the SLT but im 99% sure it will be far too much for the poor thing!

Stop it I might cancel my order and go for the smaller scope! Is the mount the same as the 102 Adam?
