geppetto
Whilst observing last night I spotted a bright object moving fast from SW over to NW.First I thought it was the ISS but there had been no predictions and anyway thatusually goes over in a west to east direction.Tried to catch up with it with the DOB and caught a few glimpses of it, very brightand larger than the usual satellites that buzz around.Checked with heavens above and the only thing that fitted the sighting wasthe Envisat satellite.http://www.heavens-above.com/satinfo.asp?Session=kebgcceiphdleoohigohmjjh&satid=27386Its doing a similar crossing tonight so I might setup to get a widefield shot of its path.Sure getting busy up there.
