ETX105 fork mount reused and adapted

Thanks to Moonnut for selling ETX105 fork mount

I have adapter the ETX105 Fork mount to take a Meade DS-2080 Refractor Telescope OTA.

Using a 4" section of 10swg 5" Aluminium tube Drilled 6 centring 8mm bolt holes, 4 10mm holes to take the retainers to attach to form mount.

Used 6 nylon bolts for centering.

Now have a motorised mount for my grandson to use.

with a 497 Autostar handset has full GOTO facility.

So don't through the fork mounts away they can be adapted for beginers to use.

Clever! Get him a 'computer' mount to retain his interest in all things 'IT' whilst getting him into stars! If only I'd had a grandad like you...
