After all the cloud and rain, the weather god made a mistake and allowed a clear spell here :headbang:

Equipment

Conditions : Little or no wind , some cloud

Setup and allowed to cool. Whilst waiting had a scan with the bins. Nice view of the double cluster and the cluster in Perseus. Jupiter was reasonably positioned so had a look - surprisingly good view - definitely 2 equatorial bands and the northern polar region.

Had a look at the cluster in Perseus - after a slightly frustrating tussle with the mount eventually got it in view - scanned slowly through very impressive. Tried to view the double cluster near Cass, but the mount and I disagreed yet again. I'll have to practise looking directly above a bit more . Was planning to do a Messier hunt in Auriga, but general murk and increasing cloud foiled that plan.

Even though it was a short session, got to see the cluster in Perseus at last. As a small bonus saw the ISS pass over at about 18:00 as well.
