I can see what your saying as the light cone will be steep. It may be worth asking Gerd Neumann at Astronomik. At the end of the day I usually only use my Astrotac and 400D at darkskies sites and never use the clip filter then. I only use it at home now and again. There is also a lot of distortion to the edge of the field on the wideangle lenses and the star shapes aren't great to the corners. This probably swamps any effects of the filter.
