First light for test OSC Atik 4000

Hi All,

At last I had a mount free to give the test camera a blast last night. Only had an hour and a half so you can't ask for much but I am pleasantly surprized by how much came through in that time. I wouldn't try to shoot a galaxy in less than 4.5 hours and this one, IC 342, is pretty faint. Also the sky was on the limit of not being worth the bother with a pesky haze that grew into a Macbeth-like soup and called a halt.

Nothing here to allow me to form a proper opinion yet but, as I say, surely a pretty good performance from the Atik in a short burst of foggy weather.

I was so impressed with the 4000 in Spain, both Ian Pass and I are now contemplating getting one

My interest in a OSC as a second camera has just increased.... Tough target though eh Olly?
