2" eyepieces & Celestron 6" SCT?

Is it possible to use a 2" visual back and 2" wide angle eyepieces with the Celestron 6" Schmidt-Cassegrain? Such an eyepiece could provide almost a 2 degree field of view.

Yes, you can use anything with a standard SCT thread.

You will get a larger FoV with a 2" visual back, diagonal & suitable eyepiece than with a 1.25" back end but you will NOT get the full FoV a 2" back end can provide ... the field is limited by the baffle stops in the tube as well as the SCT threaded port being slightly smaller in diameter than a normal 2" focuser.
