Aurora Watch Alert

I've just received a red alert from Aurora Watch, quote

"VERY LARGE increase in local activity, possible SSC". Does anyone have any more info - cannot get through to their web site. SSC is 'Sudden Storm Commencement'

I have just had another E Mail as follow up. False alarm. To err is human.

It states...

"We are very sorry for today's false alert which was due to man-made disturbance at our Lancaster field site.

I double checked it on the Geophysical Institute website and the forecast is for 1 (Quiet) for the next 2 weeks, as you might expect at solar minimum.
