Aligning an EQ6

Any tips. Half the sky is obscured by my house and it appears to be the half with all the stars Synscan wants to let me choose from. Bum.

YOu can manually select stars for alignment. Or you can slim down the alignment procedure and just do a one or two star alignment.

Typically when I was at SSP this year the Synscan wanted alignment on a star that was behind the van I came in. Can you believe it - huge field flat in all directions and the one star I needed was behind the only tall(ish) object for 20 miles aaaarrrggggggg

you will find a setting in the handset for choosing auto alignment stars, or alphabetically.
