ETX-60 How to open it up

Can anybody tell me, or point me to a place, that tells me how to disassemble my Mead ETX-60 scope please?

Preferable with a few pictures too - don't want much do I?

Hi and thanks for that, have been looking there, but could only find the 70, which is different.

If you can find the 60 would be most grateful; sometimes a second set of eyes is most useful.

I realize this thread is a few years old now, but I have looked for the same thing and found little that was useful. I have decided to create a page from my own experiences in order to fill the gap. As it turns out, the ETX-60 is not complicated and disassembling it only requires a few tools and some patience and common sense. There is some misinformation out there owing to others' frustration with disassembling the azimuth clutch, for example. My page addresses this without having to ruin the factory installation.

I would like to have my fellow ETX-60 owners visit my page and help me create a nice document for caring for and modifying this fine entry level telescope. Next week, I will begin a project to install a Meade 1244 electric focuser on it....they are < $40 now!
