I think you may be alluding to 'the straight wall' feature on the Moon's surface?

Thanks. I wasnt expecting any such feature (all around the moon that is) ... but thanks anyway.

Found the "straight wall" a few months ago. I was at first convinced my telescope was faulty or there was some debris in the eyepice. It's a very surprising feature.

it really took me by surprise when I first stumbled across it. It looks particularly striking when the sun is just at the right angle to make it look like a silvery streak
