hazy Jupiter tonight

Hello:

Took the 9.25 SCT out tonight for a gander at Jupiter. Was quite a bit of murk and thin cloud quite a way up from the horizon. There was a fair bit of wind coming off the lake and seeing conditions were less than ideal, with a fair bit of turbulence.

Did a rough compass polar alignment and scope did track Jupiter quite well, I must say. The best view I could get was with a 25mm eyepiece. Any higther magnification was not to be.

I had not t6aken the camera this evening, and while observing the

moon, a jet flew across...looked quite nice...would have been a good photo!
