Sharpless 101 - The Tulip Nebula

Sharpless' objects may be a little obscure but they represent an interesting imaging challenge. This is one of my favourite Sharpless objects taken tonight through my 8" Skywatcher Newtonian using an SXVF-M25C ccd and Baader MPCC:-

The brighter stars have a cyan hue, is that an LP filter?

Hi Martin, I don't think it is the LP filter (Hutech IDAS) as I generally find this to be pretty neutral. The stars are 'saturation boosted) along with the nebula itself but that should pretty faithfully pick up the underlying colour so I suspect that the blue and yellow stars in the images, although boosted, do represent what was there.
