Startrails and something else...

Hi all,

With the new baby at home now didnt have time to go out and set up last night but did set up the camera out of the bedroom window to do some star trails... also caught a meteor? Have used virtual dub to join all the jpegs into an avi (all converted from 3400x2300 raws to 800x600 jpegs via photoshop), but its made a file 900+ mb! Any ideas how to put these together to make a manageable video?

Nice, I think we have all tried imaging from a window at least once, well I know I have. You've managed to get some good pics too boot.

Have you tried using windows movie maker it does an ok job processing jpegs into an avi or wmv file.

Ps ref windows movie maker it comes built into xp, vista & w7 .

Yep WMM is what i use as well don't even have to bother with the resizing leave it do it for you...

hmm... dont have it on this lappy.. xp sp2 corp.. just did a full win update on the other laptop to xp sp3 .. still no wmm ? Looked on microsoft... seems to be a sp2 addition...
