Advice needed - Orion slow motion control

Hi there

Has anyone used one of these before?

Telescope House Adapter Precision Slow-Motion

I see mixed reviews and I am wondering whether it will support my WO 66mm scope and DSLR.

I would only be using it on a grab and go set up on a camera tripod, where the emphasis is portablity. It's mainly widefield, but I do struggle with fine adjustment on the tripod head as targets move in the field of view.

Any opinions/advice welcome!

I had one of these a few years ago and ended up throwing it away. It wasn't much use for anything heavier than a plastic camera or small binoculars. I bought it to use with a 60mm birding scope, but even with something as small as that the movement was far too jerky. Like a lot of cheap altaz heads, to stop the scope flapping about you had to lock the movement so tightly that you couldn't really follow anything - Hugh.
