Perseids - Taunton/Blackdown Hills

Hello, I was wondering if there was anyone on here from the Taunton/Blackdown Hills area who could give me some advice about sky darkness in the area. Is it worth going up into the hills or should I stay put in Taunton? Thanks

It's a lot darker in the Blackdowns than in Taunton so you should see a lot more Perseids up there. That said, later on the moon rises so the difference may not be so much.

Personally I always try and get up to the Blackdowns when I can as with Taunton down in the valley they are pretty dark!!
