Attaching camera lens to erm, camera

It looks like I'll be buying my wife a half decent lens for her 450D for her birthday and I'm thinking it might be nice to have a play with it for something better than taking pic of the kids :). So I've been googling away trying to find an adapter so I can attach it to my Atik 16HR without much luck. I'm sure they exist so has anyone got a link to where they can be purchased? It'll be a male t-thread at one end and (I'm guessing) a female Canon baynet fit on the other end.

TIA

Tony..

Ah, that looks like just the ticket Rich, thanks :). See what you mean about the filter situation though, although just looking from the (admitttedly stock) image there might be a 1.25" thread in the middle. I'll email the guy and see if that's the case.

Mine doesn't have a thread inside it, although I thought there was mention from Mogg that a threaded insert of some kind was available.

I made a DIY insert to hold an IR filter but it would be better if there was one available as you don't want it coming loose.

Cheers,

Rich.
