Hi All,

This scope is on E-Bay for offers over £175, I,ve been looking for a second hand 8" newtonian on an EQ mount mostly been checking for skywatcher or celestron has anyone heard of :

Helios 200mm (8”) – EQ5 Mount (Includes R.A. & Dec. motors and polar scope)

Newtonian Telescope. Focal Length 1000mm. F5. 8" Primary Mirror. Optics in Perfect Condition.

EQ5 Equatorial mount with motor drives on both axes and polar scope. (part of E-bay advert)

I'm a bit wary because of the seben and other inferior scopes that i've been told about on E-Bay.

Any info is most appreciated

Helios scopes are OK - they were re-branded Skywatcher a few years ago. Assuming that a seller is being honest, the scope you describe is basically the same as the Skywatcher 200P.

If you can get it for around £200 and it is in the condition described it would be a good buy.
