Can't really help except to say is the Shropshire astronomical society meets at Rodington near Shrewsbury is that too far away?

Hi Adam

I am in Shropshire. I have only just got my scope and therefore only just started thinking about good places to set up (I am lucky to have a nice dark south facing field opposite my house so I'll probably drag the scope across there to begin with). There should be plenty of places closer to you in South Shropshire to get a good dark sky though. If you drive through Kidderminster, Cleobury Mortimer, Ludlow and out towards Knighton. I don't know of a specific field for example, but I'll let you know if I find somewhere good.
