Taff
Hi' i am looking for some advice. I bought a pair of two latitude bolts for my NEQ6 Mount but one bolt is longer than the other one. Out of the two bolts which one goes where into the mount Thanks. Mark
wimvb
The bolts should have the same thread, as far as I know. So, it really shouldn't matter. If you live far North, having the longer bolt near the polar scope may not work as they will touch and block each other. Other than that, just test which looks/works best. Budgie1
Sometimes the after market bolts come with different handles, one is round and the other is like a straight handle which can be pulled out & rotated. The long handle normally goes on the Polar Scope side, so it doesn't foul on the Polar Scope at higher latitudes, as on my HEQ5 below.
Stickey
Umm ... I'm not sure the bolts should be the same length. My HEQ5 bolts are different lengths, but I can't remember which side the longer one goes into. I THINK the longer one goes in the Polar Scope side on the basis that the internal flange that they push on is not midway in the mount body, but please double check.
