PixInsight new FBPR (Fast Batch Preprocessing Script)

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have been using the new FBPR in the latest release of PixInsight and have found that for some reason it is allowing hot pixels to appear, it even seems to be double hitting them (so to speak). I have attached a sample.
When I stack the same lights with the same calibration frames in the 'old' WBP or DSS there are no hot pixels visible. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I'm missing something in the settings? Or is there a bug in the FBPR?

It is as though the Darks are not registering

I'm not sure what causes the issue, but FBP is trying to do a quick job not a quality job, so maybe it's just that? I think you just use it to get an idea of what you've got, rather than a final image.

Why don’t you ask on the PI own forum, as you will get a full explanation from the developers on this issue, it’s a good point…👍🏻
