Avalon's Polar Alignment System

This came up in my FB feed and automatically caught my attention - If it does what it says that I can do, then I think this will be a must soon for remote setups. Not, sure if this is a new product though or if it has been around for some time now but, it is very appealing tbh.

I remember seeing something like this although it was an integral part of a (really) expensive mount - can't recall which website or the brand of the mount though. It's looks interesting and the sort of thing I would like to have to reduce set up time - you could leave it doing automated alignment while fetching other bits & pieces. The price at approx £1500 makes me think I'll stick with my iPolar and manual adjustments instead.

This is pretty damn cool.

Now they need to make it full auto using the polar alignement routines of NINA or Ekos.

This was around at least three years ago, maybe longer, there's a small CN thread about it.

Three years ago? You meant the Avalon mount with the motorized polar alignment?

Cause the stand alone system was announced last year and I don't Beleive it was released until recently.
