WO MKII Reducer

Recommended Posts

I would like to get one of the above reducers for my WO66SD and I was wondering if there was anyone out there using the same scope and reducer with an Atik 314L.

Basically what I need to know is would I need a spacer of some kind between the reducer and ccd and if so any idea what size, also how would one go about attaching a filter to such a combo.

Cheers.

the WO FF MkII require approx 56mm of distance between the back "flange" of the reducer and the imaging plane.

How you fit the flatenner determines how you can fit the filter.

When I had mine (and since I have another one this week, its something I will have to revisit soon), I had it like this:

1 - WO66

2 - FF (screwed onto the SCT thread on the 66)

3 - T-Thread to 2" adapter

4 - 2" to T-Thread nosepiece (2" threaded)

5 - CCD

And I screwed my filter into the front of item #4 above.

Now I have the flattener again, and I also have my Gerd Neumann filter drawer system, I will need to revisit the filter placemenbt and required spacing.
