Thanks. Yes, I used it indeed: liveview at 10x. I untoggled the autofocus and the stabilizer and I did a manual focus as sharp as I could. Nevertheless, manual focus with EF-S-18-55mm lens is difficult because a slow rotation in the focuser transforms into a big movement of the focal plane.

By the way, I am trying to engage an old 300mm Tamron SP lens into my Canon EOS 450d, but I haven't been able to find any converter in the market. If anyone knows of any converter to attach it, I would be very happy to know of it. Thanks in advance.
