Bank holiday madness decended and I finally obtained a Canon 1000d after stupidly going into Jessops on a whim. However, enough of trying to do EP with a compact, time to get down with some serious exposure times!

Before it went for what is called dark in my location I took a few shots of the moon. So here are my very first shots with the camera, straight out of the box and onto the scope. Lucky the battery had some charge in it.

After dark went on to M3. But that's another story on another channel.
