Caught another SN with my simple DSLR+lens fixed on a tripod.

Brilliant use of a vintage lens! What lens were you using? I've got a couple of older Canon FD lenses, my favourite being the 135mm F2.8. I know I could use this for astrophotography but because I already have an Askar FMA180 it doesn't seem worth it.

However, having seen what you are doing has made me think again. All it needs is a few adapters (famous last words!).

What iso was this taken at?

Great spot by the way!

Ah! good question, iso800, I should have included that.
Also I should have said this was taken early evening 12 Feb, I have been playing with it in Gimp since then!

but for £15 to £50 you'd be looking at spending way, waaaaay more to eliminate them.

Yes! But back in the day they cost a substantial fraction of a months wage :) OK on axis but some are quite peculiar round the edges.

Thanks, ( I am practicing for when Beetlejuice pops LOL )  Soligor  f2.8 135mm,  from about 1967-8  I suppose that makes it more antique than vintage ?!
