NGC 4565 - Atik 16HR - 29-04-09

This is my first image for while. Been involved with work issues and problems with ill relatives. Also I have been trying to sort out what direction my future imaging kit should be.

A bit of high cloud so I decided to image NGC 4565 with my Atik 16HR with my 130mm APO working at F6

10 X 5mins.

I think I need to specialize in one aspect of imaging instead of just messing about with all sorts of stuff. I think narrow band with a large format mono camera might be the answer.

That's a great little pic. John. Give some deep thought to the direction you want to go. It can cost if you make a wrong choice.

NB and Mono sounds a good Idea, but try and get some input from the Experienced guys who operate in that area.

A fine 4565 there.

It really is a great looking galaxy.

I've imaged this on 2 occasions, but actually saw it visually for the first time at SGL4!
