Heq5 Syntrek and SynScan V5 Handset…

Hi all,

 

I have a HEQ5 Syntrek and am aware that adding a SynScan GOTO handset essentially turns it into a HEQ5 Pro. Looking around online I can’t see any handsets marked as SynScan GOTO but I have seen plenty of mentions of the SynScan v5 handset. Are they one and the same? Can I use the v5 to add Pro capability to my Heq5 Syntrek?

The v5 is the current version of the synscan handset. Any Synscan v3 , 4 or 5 version of the handset will be suitable.

Worth checking at the time of purchase if the supplied synscan handset is supplied with cable to connect to the HEQ5 (I don't think it does and you have to buy one to suit - around £30)
