Skywatcher Dobsonian AZ tracking yips

I've had my SW Flextube auto tracking Dob for over 10 years and its always had intermitent tracking yips (jumps) in AZ. Some nights its fine and other times its very annoying. In the past I've tried tightening or slackening the AZ tension nut but nothing changes. Anyone had this or know of a sollution?
