Using Nina no Wifi Wih Mini PC

Hello

i'm just getting to grips with NINA, iv followed Quiv the lazy geek tutorial on setting up NINA and a mini pc, iv set up a permanent hotspot on my mini pc, but when i turn of my WIFI and try to connect with remote desktop it wont connect, am i missing something? id be keen to use it offline incase of any wifi distance/strength issues.

I use a travel minirouter that creates a dummy wifi network to which i connect to with a tablet using remote desktop.

Simple, but works. Never had any weird connectivity issues (other than short range, but not really an issue).
