Hi all, I've been wreaking my brain where I read about supernovas and how the occur. I can remember lying in bed reading how there comes a critical point were the stars collaspses in on itself very quickly to an amazing density and then rebounds back out in a tremendous explosion. I even nudged my dozing wife to read it to her!!! :)

Okay was it in Astronomy Now, The Sky at Night, Burnham's Celestial Handbook or can you think of somewhere else I may have read it?

It blew my mind anyway.

Many thanks

Brian
