Moon and Planetary Viewing - SW 90 Mak vs Svbony 80ED f/7

These two scopes basically overlap when it comes to viewing the Moon and planets.

I prefer the 80ED because you can also use it for DSO.

The viewing quality to me is not much different but with the 80ED I can fine focus

Which one do  you think is the more preferable one?

For me it would be the 80ED because it is more versatile.

The 90mm mak is very compact though so if space is at a premium that will be a benefit.

I would choose the 80ED as it will give the purer unobstructed view and will cool quicker 👍

I haven't used an ED80, but did have an ED70 and currently have a SW 90mm mak. As I'm not interested in DSOs, the mak is of more use to me.

I also have a Tak FS60-CB, which is very capable for planetary observing but gets a bit dim above x120 mag or so, whereas the Mak still gives bright views at x150-70, albeit with slightly less contrast. It's not really noticeable unless comparing side by side.
