With the pairing of the crescent phases of Venus and the Moon Friday morning (Australia) only a few degrees apart, and anticipating what I may be able to do if the clouds hold off - and using focal reducers in either the 6" achro or ED 80.....I went outside today and saw Venus shining brilliantly overhead;).....about 75 degrees up from the Western horizon (past the zenith) at 11.30 am today.....couldn't resist and loaded the Canon F4L at 280mm on the modded 50D and took some shots.....quick and dirty in CS3 and then a mono conversion that looked nicest (imho) with an infra red filter applied.....:):D:D
