Les Tilly
Hi Guys, I have been playing with combining Luminance with my DSLR RGB I took the Luminace from the DSI PRO II I use mine for Guiding, that might have to change I combined it with the RGB image I have of M51 I took with my 40D What do you think ? worth shooting some luminance ? or just RGB Les
Psychobilly
It's Certainly increased the contrast in the dustlanes Les...Have you ever tried creating a synthetic L from the RGB. You can play about with the RGB in this "L" without destroying the colour balance...and you can be a lot more radical with the B&C and levels and curves...Just a thought...Peter.... Aza
I have been messing around with a luminance layer.Slighty different to you though....I used the same DSLR RGB data as the luminance. What I tried was processing my data purely for colour. Then doing a seperate process, after converting to greyscale, to use as a luminance.I have not had any good results, but I found this which may help (not tried yet though)Untitled Document
