Hi

I have a tight RA axis in my EQ6-R Pro. It means I can't balance the mount in RA properly, and not sure whether it will make any difference to tracking or pointing. The mount is within warranty period. Releasing the tension requires either a strap wrench around the smooth tension nut, or even a pipe wrench if its very tight. Its clear it was over-tightened at the factory.  I have looked around on youtube and seen how some people deal with it, but none say whether their mount is in warranty or not. If I end up marking the mount with a pipe wrench I will be annoyed, and not sure whether this intervention is permitted under warranty. Anyone know, or have a better remedy?

Rubber strap wrench from Amazon. Fixed in ten seconds.
