DSLR query about portrait & landscape

After imaging with a DSLR for a couple of years, I’ve run into a problem. The captures in my last session (lights and flats) are a mixture of landscape and portrait orientation. When attempting to stack, I’m getting errors that say the frames are not all the right size. Not had this problem previously and haven’t consciously changed any settings.

I’ve checked the DSLR settings and autorotate is set to off. Picture style was set to neutral. I’ve changed it to neutral but am not sure this will make a difference. The software used to capture images is Backyard EOS.

As usual, there must be something very basic causing the issue but I can’t see what it is! Can anyone put me right on this?

Got some answers to my own questions. The landscape versus portrait seems to be because of a sensor in the camera that picks one or other. The picture style setting has no effect shooting in raw as it only alters jpegs. And for some reason, the stacking software has decided to accept all of the subs so probably the error was caused by a glitch fixed by rebooting the pc.
