Help with Noise Reduction Software

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone....i do hope that you are all ok during this heatwave!

So, I took this image of the moon rising last week over bristol. I have a mid priced sony bridge camera, which in the main i love, but for some reason when i zoom right out, this image gets pixelated (if this is what it is). mid range and closeup....no problems, but at the high end zoom range, this! anyhow, i was wondering if anti noise software, such as noise ninja might smooth things out a little (assuming Noise ninja is still available....if not then can someone kindly advise me as to what might improve things.....i currently have photoshop elements and pixinsight).

Anyhow, hoping very much that someone can help?

Kind regards

Bob

If an image looks pixellated at different zoom levels to 100% then that will be due to the scaling algorithm used by the viewing software that is scaling the image to the different zoom level.

Noise reduction software would reduce the noise you can see at 100% zoom.  It may help improve viewing at different zoom levels if it helps the viewing software's scaling algorithm.
