This seems to be a place where people *could* contribute favourite links
to Science (STEM?) Stuff. Websites, Youtube Videos, Science Blogs etc. 🙂
(I'll leave someone else to start this off - Gauge if there is ANY interest?)

Bumper: 1670s, "glass filled to brim;" from notion of bumping as "large,"
or from a related sense of "booming" (see bump). The meaning "anything
unusually large" (as in bumper crop) is from 1759, originally slang
. 😛

More of a wee dram than a bumper, but worth trying. As a retired ex-scientist, 20 years Mineralogy, 20 years Forensic Science, I am still just as curious and I still have 'Wow look at that moments'. One thing that disappoints me - I won't be around to read of the amazing discoveries of the next century or two, but I suppose Galileo, Newton etc felt the same, so who am I to complain.

Yes, I often feel it's a "shame"... The TITAN "Dragonfly"? (I may just... hopefully!?! lol)
So many scientists discussing "other things"? It is surely their right, but there is also
a lot of standard (FUN!) science to "promote & inform" re. the young/ignorant/etc. 😉
