Viewing Saturn for the 1st time.

Recommended Posts

Last night when i finished work i looked up at a patchy sky and wasn't very happy.

I popped round to see some friends and an hour later the skies had cleared.

Getting home i set up the scope and gazed at the night sky.

Finding User Major i followed the line down to Leo and just below Regulus to the left was my target.

I lined up my target and wow.

Seeing the second biggest planet in our solar system for the first time is a trully brilliant sight.

Could clearly see the rings protruding from the sides as is slowly drifted from right to left on my view finder.

Although the image was small it was still good to see.

Is there anyway that i can be able to view planets etc closer with the scope i have?

I was using a x2 Barlow with a 10mm Eye piece.

Any help would be great.
