Just watching Martin Astrophotographys' video on plate solving.....and i LOVE it.....and I haven't even got a scope yet🙃   It actually seems really quite simple or is that my newbie naivety, or just the great calm way he explains it....?

Anyways. He uses SG Pro......are there any equally as good tutorial's for the free plate solving software he mentions that you can recommend. 

I know PS isn't a necessity for a newbie but I I like learning stuff

Have a look at this video from Cuiv, the lazy geek on Youtube, its a bit old now but the content is sound. ASTAP platesolving works the best, at least thats what the consensus seems to be. Also, NINA is free, open source, and pretty damn good so also recommend using that.

SGP  uses the same platesolvers as all the rest, ie ASTAP, platesolve 2, ASPS etc... Platesolve 2 was developed by platewave instruments and have been kindly donated freely open source... The Celestron CPWI ( Celestron plane wave instruments)  software is built around this ... ASTAP is very fast, very accurate... Like blackmagic
