Do use a focusing aid at all or a motor focuser?

Electronic focuser ... only way to go

i always take take to go back and forth, looking at minute craters to get the best focus, takes practise, but very difficult by hand.

Saying that, nothing can focus bad seeing. I only ever image if the seeing is above average, otherwise i just

spend time observing, or going for a wander around the stars.
